As of the upcoming Fall semester the University of Texas at Austin is no longer using Français interactif in its French Program. COERLL is committed to maintaining the Français interactif and Tex websites and textbook in their current form for as long as possible, but no future updates are planned. We will update all registered teachers with more information if anything changes.
Teachers may use Français interactif in their classes at no cost. Français interactif and its sister site, Tex's French Grammar, are OER (Open Education Resources) and are available without passwords or fees.
To request access to our ancillary teaching resources shared on Google Drive (scripts for listening comprehension exercises, example syllabi and lesson plans, etc.), please send an email to coerll@austin.utexas.edu and include the following:
- your name
- the email address you use to log in to Google Drive
- the name and location of the school where you teach
- the level of French you teach
- the URL of your school's website
The fourth edition (2019) of the textbook is available in print-on-demand format from lulu.com or downloadable by chapter in PDF format from the website free of charge. If you order from lulu.com, please allow 7-10 business days for the textbook to arrive.
All materials on the Français interactif site, including the textbook itself, are licensed under under a Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 International License unless otherwise indicated.
