Orlando Kelm

Orlando arrived at the University of Texas in 1989, soon after earning his Ph.D. in Hispanic Linguistics at the University of California at Berkeley. Half of his time is devoted to the teaching of Portuguese and Spanish, and you’ll always find him working on some project related to the use of innovative technologies in language learning. The other half of his time is spent focusing on business language and the cultural aspects of international business.

He currently serves as the Associate Director of Business Language Education at UT’s Center for International Business Education and Research (CIBER). Besides Portuguese and Spanish, Orlando is also working on Italian, German, Catalan, Japanese, and Chinese. It seems to be becoming a hobby of sorts, but a pretty nice one.
