Bueno, yo soy boliviana. Y viví toda mi vida en Bolivia antes de venir a la universidad de Texas a estudiar. Yo fui a un colegio privado, a un colegio alemán, donde aprendí alemán, por supuesto, y también el inglés. Dos veces durante la preparatoria nos hacían tomar un examen inmenso de alemán del cual dependía si salíamos bachilleres del colegio. Yo lo pasé, gracias al cielo y luego, después de siete meses de aplicar y de tener que estudiar y de tener que tomar el TOEFL y el SAT para venir a Estados Unidos, fui aceptada en la universidad de Texas y me vine acá, sola no conocía a nadie ni nunca había estado en Texas, fue toda una aventura.

Well, I am Bolivian. I lived all of my life in Bolivia before coming to the University of Texas to study. I went to a private school, a German school, where I learned German, of course, and English too. Twice during high school they made us take an important German exam which determined whether we would graduate. I passed it, thank heavens, and later, after seven months of applying and having to study and taking the TOEFL and SAT exams in order to come to the U.S., I was accepted to the University of Texas and I came here, alone, I didn't know anyone, nor had I been to Texas... It was quite an adventure.
