LIVE - the second variant is simply an initialized version of the first.
 
RIDE-IN - This verb can be used with vehicles that one would actually enter and sit down in. Examples include a car, a bus, a train, a plane, or a boat.
 
RIDE-ON - This verb can be used for vehicles that you would straddle with your legs (such as a bike, a jet ski, or a motorcycle), or for riding on animals (like a horse, a bull, or a small child riding on a dog).
