Comparisons of adjectives

Comparisons of adjectives are made in Spanish by using the following formula:
Comparative (más, menos, tan) + adjective + (que/tan)

Juan es más alto que Pablo. Juan is taller than Pablo.

Pablo es menos alto que Juan. Pablo is less tall than Juan.

Pablo es tan alto como Juan. Pablo is as tall as Juan.

The comparison of verbs takes a different form:
Verb + más, menos, tanto + que/como

Jorge trabaja más que Cristina. Jorge works more than Cristina.

Cristina trabaja menos que Jorge Cristina works less than Jorge.

Cristina trabaja tanto como Jorge. Cristina works as much as Jorge.
