Day (c)

Motives a-d are typically referred to as the “Day” motives. The
entirety of the first scene of Act II is devoted to the development
of Day (a). Motives b-d are variations of the original
(a). Motive d is heard in sequence, or “In Sequenzen,” according
to Ferdinand Pfohl (p. 225). Scruton additionally notes that
Motive a is heard as a minor version of Hero's Call.
