The words "Fumer tue" are an example of high context in the culture. Instead of listing the possible negative effects from smoking, it is expected that the reader already knows. Some countries show graphic pictures of the effects of smoking and others list warnings, such as the Surgeon General's warning in the US, but in French society "Smoking kills" is all that is needed.
