We at University on-line strives to provide students with the most intuitive and helpful on-line service around.  University On-line was created by students and for students.  We offer the greatest variety of information necessary to the college student, with most of the services at no cost to the student.  What we have done then, is created an interface that is swamped with college students day in and day out.  What this means to the business owner who chooses to advertise on our site, is guaranteed exposure to the large market of college students.

There are two basic ways in which your company can make it’s presence known on the Internet: you can buy an independent web-site form a web building firm (and end up having to advertise for your web site so that people are aware of its existence), or you can have your web-site built a company that offers an interface (and will therefor advertise your web-site for you).  The latter is usually better for a company that does not want to worry about advertising for its advertisements, but a problem still persists: “How can you can make sure that your site is being visited?” 

What we have done here at University On-line is solve that problem by providing a free service to college students (a substantial market considering that most college students receive Internet access from their Universities) and giving firms the opportunity to advertise on our web-site (whether it be by renting out our billboard or posting coupons in our directory).  There are over 50,000 students and graduate students at the University of Texas, most of which have Internet accounts that are provided by the University.  If you want to advertise to students, you have to go where the students go.  By offering a valuable service to students free of charge, we have isolated your market, making your advertisements more effective.
