The discussions of Turkish sound patterns in this module would not have been possible without the work of scholars specialized in Turkish phonology. We have depended heavily on this body of literature for our data, descriptions, and analyses, which in many cases are updated interpretations of earlier published discussions. This page contains a list of the resources we've drawn from, both those published in traditional venues, and those found online. It has often been necessary to present a simplified picture of the sound patterns we present here in order to adapt our discussions to the needs of our undergraduate phonology classes. For this reason as well, we encourage those interested to consult our sources, where the sound phenomena we've discussed are treated in greater depth.
